The Next Sportsmen’s Listening Tour in Sigel, Maloney Says

March 4, 2025

HARRISBURG – The second stop of the statewide Sportsmen’s Listening Tour will be held in Jefferson County on March 12, 6.m., at the Sigel Sportsmen’s Club, 246 Sportsmen’s Lane, Sigel PA, 15860, Rep. David Maloney (R-Berks) said today.

“We had our first meeting on Feb. 27 in Lancaster County at Yoder’s in New Holland, and it was good exchange of information and there were questions and incidents that, frankly, were not on my radar, and that is what I envisioned these meetings to be,” Maloney said. “When folks have good information, they are empowered to take a stand on issues where in the past they may have just acquiesced. We have been told that even complaints and concerns by this agency’s own employees go unanswered.”

State Reps. attending the New Holland meeting included Dave Zimmerman (R-Lancaster), Brian Smith (R-Jefferson/Indiana) and Eric Davanzo (R-Westmoreland).

Rep. Maloney’s statewide Sportsmen’s Listening Tour is an effort to get true grass roots insight on what Pennsylvania’s sportsmen – hunters, anglers, trappers – are really concerned about.
